12 in 12

In 2011, I came up with a list of 11 things that I wanted to do 11 times each, which had varying results. Since this is 2012, it makes sense for my list to grow, right? So here’s my #12in12.

1. Try 12 new recipes

(I suspect a lot of these will be bread recipes as that’s kind of my thing right now)

2. Read 12 new books

3. Spend 12 nights out of my own bed

4. Go on 12 dates

(I’m going to define ‘date’ as actually making a plan to meet someone who I could be interested in at a certain time, and going out with them to do something. I think this may be the hardest one, although with my year of dating advice, it might just be possible!)

5. Host 12 gatherings

6. Go to 12 parties

7. Write 12 things

(Not just ordinary blog posts or work reports. Something that stands out, like last year’s annual report for the not-for-profit I worked at, or the harrowing and lengthy story about being date-raped. )

8. Do 12 things for my career

9. Listen to 12 new-to-me albums from start to finish

10. Try 12 new cocktails

11. Write 12 entries on all of my different blogs and my online journal

12. Add 12 new people to my phone.

(I wanna say “make 12 new friends” but that seems so easy to do on Twitter. I want people important enough that I would call or text them, instead of just a DM).
