Hubris

We rented “10 Things I Hate About You” on Saturday night, and it was a brilliant piece of work. When teen movies go well, they go so so well. “Dazed and Confused” was on the telly tonight; there’s another shining example. Anyways, in honour of the movie, I wrote out a “10 Things I Hate About You” list, but in true Joanna style, it’s currently up to #32. Sheesh, anyone would think I was unsatisfied or something.

All my friends went to a 21st on Saturday night. I wasn’t invited, sob sob. That’s okay though, cos I actually had a good night. I had a crap boring day today. I’ve read half of my multimedia text book. Oh my god, they took off 90210 from sunday afternoons. My whole day ruined! That’s okay, cos I watched “10 Things” again.

Other stuff of note? Ummmmm. Karen’s moved into her new apartment now. I sent her flowers which she duely appreciated. I paid Brad $1200 and told him he was great last night. I made the paper hat that came with the Herald on saturday. Apparently NZ won some yacht race thingie. There’s been like nooo media coverage of it though, strangely enough. ARGGGGGGGHH!! It’s times like this when I feel like I come from a fucking pathetic nation, when half the paper is devoted to the America’s Cup, as is the TV news. There was a death at a rave this weekend, and I bet the Herald is screaming at how bad the time is. How can we have more explotive sensationalistic coverage of “NEW ZEALAND’S SECOND ECTASY DEATH” and still have room to run photos of the parade?

Don’t mind me, I’ll just get down from my tangent now. It’s too hot to sleep, but I guess I gotta try!
