Yes, I suck and haven’t journaled for a while. Get over it. I’m a high flying executive or somefink like that. Oooh, just while I’m talking about journal updates, check out James’s auto checking thingie.
So, what have I been up to lately? Friday was Saint Patrick’s Day, but I didn’t get down with my Irish self. Thomas bought me lunch in Mount Eden cos he got a new job, so I bought him some sunflowers. They’re now gracing our dining room table, and look lovely. Brad and I were the only ones home in the evening, so we drank steinlagers cos we had lots in our fridge from Thomas’s dad, and watched ‘Spiceworld’. Karen rang me in the middle of it, and then spent half an hour telling me about her furniture. I kept interupting her to say things like “hey, I love those girls, and I’ll do anything for them – but I won’t do that!” and “how’s baby?” and to yell at Brad “See?? MORE foreshadowing!”. It’s clear even in the fictional movie that Geri was so much smarter than the rest of the group. It’s also ironic that they did this big rap about how the Spice Girls would only work with the five of them.
During the movie, Clayton came home and started drinking too. It seemed only logical to want to play afterwards, so we did. Clayton and Brad got very intimate in a whole series of contortionistic proportions, while I just giggled my way through some more beer. When I played Clayton, I lost. I admit I’m just not very tolerant of assorted positions. I CAN get my heels over my head still, but that didn’t really come into it.
When we got tired of playing Twister, we struggled to think of other party games. Clayton came up with the Orange game, which we played with a necterine instead. What you do is hold the fruit between your chin and neck, and try to pass it from person to person like that. We got it around twice before I dropped it, trying to pick it off Brad. I don’t think I used my breasts to their full advantage. After that party game, we decided to play ‘Truth or Dare’. That was very very amusing, but unfortunatly, I’m sworn to secrecy.
