We have new telephone books!!! You have no idea how happy this makes me. Finally I am able to elevate my moniter up high to a decent level. It’s an exciting time in the Garland Gang household, I tell you!

Thomas and I ironically slummed it by going to South Auckland today. We were going to be suburban and go to Saint Lukes Mall, out west, but then I remembered that the Pasefika festival was being held near there, and traffic would probably suck, and I was right. So we went to the Manukau Mall instead. I managed to buy some cool lip gloss from Red Earth – four shades and a brush in one compact, and the Leftfield cd. So that was cool. The mall was really really skanky though. We drove home up Great South Road instead of on the motorway just to explore some more. Around about Mount Wellington, I was slowing down for some lights, when BAM, the car behind me tapped into me. I got a hell of a fright, and stuff, but when we pulled over, I wasn’t damaged at all, thanks to them just hitting my tow bar. His number plate was dented, but he said that was probably old damage anyways, and besides – it was completely his fault for not stopping quick enough – I wasn’t doing any unexpected stops or anything (that time). Still, I was kinda shaken, cos that’s the first moving accident I’ve ever had. Hopefully it’s the last too!!!

Then we went to Ellerslie to look at sharks, and had lunch in a cafe there. When I ordered a chicken salad, the counter chick said it was to die for. It was nice, but not all that. When I was ordering chocolate mousse cake, again, I was told it was to die for. The waitress dropping it off said it was really good too. I think people in Ellerslie die too easily, eh.

We went to Royal Oak to find dinner tonight, and ended up getting really nice Chinese takeaways from this completely shabby looking place right near the huge brightly lit chinese place that seemed to be shut – sheesh, it was only 10pm! We were gonna watch a video and stuff, but then Clay brought his whitcholls friends home, so we ran and hid instead.

I’ve decided to write down everything i ever wanna say on notecards, and pretend it’s a formal speech.

Oooh, tetrinet!
